Dear family and friends, What a whirlwind of a couple of months! First off, thank you for being patient with us. Ultimately, we decided that we wanted to celebrate closer to home with our family and dearest friends. Beginning this new chapter together in this intimate setting is the perfect way to celebrate our special day. What is the best way to travel to Santa Barbara? If you live locally, Santa Barbara is conveniently located approximately 2 hours north of Los Angeles by car. If you live out of state, we recommend flying into Los Angeles and driving into Santa Barbara. Will there be a reception following the ceremony? Our reception will be held at the Kimpton Canary Hotel just 0.3 miles from The Sunken Gardena at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Is there a hotel block for guests? Because our wedding is on a Sunday afternoon, we decided not to move forward with a room block. Instead, we will provide a list of accommodations in the area if you decide to make it a weekend trip or stay the night. Can I bring a plus one? We have a strict guest list and can only accommodate those listed on the invitation. Are children allowed at the wedding? To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children on our wedding day. What is the dress code? Semi-formal, but make it comfortable! Our ceremony will be held outside and daytime temperatures are expected to be 70-75 degrees. Our reception will be located inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Downtown, Santa Barbara. For the ladies in heels —upon entering the ceremony, The Sunken Gardens is an open field of grass. It's not impossible to walk in heels, but please proceed with caution. What should I do if I have dietary restrictions? We will be providing food options to choose from closer to our wedding date. Is there an open bar? Yes! You will have limited access to speciality beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options throughout the reception. Speciality drinks and cocktails are available at the cash bar. What time should we arrive? Our ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:00PM. Guests may begin arriving at 3:30. How do I RSVP? Please use the RSVP button on the homepage or menu tab. Our reception will be held at the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Downtown, Santa Barbara. You are welcome to stay at the Kimpton but we will list other accommodations in the area below.

Historic Downtown Snohomish's First Street is lined with shops and restaurants. Heritage quality is written on and into the historic buildings themselves, yet celebrated in refreshing new ways by new generations of merchants and makers. Towering brick edifices and antique stores stand shoulder-to-shoulder with modern boutiques and eateries, artist studios, galleries, and tattoo parlors above the winding Snohomish River. With so much to experience here, you’ll want at least a few days to explore.

Historic Downtown Snohomish

The Snohomish Riverfront Trail was dedicated in August 2010 with a design by Project Manager Ann Stanton to echo the route of the Milwaukee Road that came to town in 1911 on rails laid on a wooden trestle out over the river. The trail begins in the west at Avenue D and First Street, and ends at Maple Street in Cady Landing Park, less than a mile east. As you walk around the curve, passing the backside of the Wilbur Block offers an interesting view of the mural, but there is no evidence of when it was a depot. The park ahead is your first stop.

The Snohomish Farmers Market runs every Thursday from May through September and showcases more than 100 quality vendors. Shop for fresh produce, honey, jam, sauces, spices, fresh-cut flowers, and a wide variety of artisan-crafted goods like pottery, candles, leather works, woodcraft, soaps, wine, beer, baked treats, and more.

Dressed to Celebrate

Some of you have asked about the dress code for our wedding, so we wanted to share a few details. We kindly ask that guests dress in&nbsp;semi-formal attire. For women, we’ve included a&nbsp;color palette guide&nbsp;for inspiration.For men, we suggest a&nbsp;black, blue, or grey suit&nbsp;— ties are optional. The current weather for Sunday is showing mid- 70's but in the evening, it will drop to the low 50's. Although cocktail hour and the reception are indoors, please bring a light jacket just in case! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
